Cheryl A. Boyer, LCSW

I am a licensed clinical social worker in the Southern Nevada area. My office is in Boulder City, NV.

If you are tackling some uneasy changes in your life, I am available to help. I have experience in working with families, couples, individuals, and adolescents. I offer help with depression, anxiety, stress management, grief, self esteem, and chronic mental illness.

I look forward to working with you to face the obstacles that you have on your journey. It is always helpful to discuss your feelings and thoughts with someone to obtain a different perspective.

My focus is on what the client needs and to provide support and a safe environment to make changes, heal, and grow. My clients receive confidentiality and respect for privacy.

My treatment approach is a strength based approach. My skills are eclectic and includes; cognitive behavioral, solution focus, intervention, relational, humanistic, dialectical and relational.

When deciding on a therapist, it is especially important to feel a connection with the one you choose. My approach is caring, warm, and collaborative.

My work, informed by years of practice and training in a variety of approaches, helps people explore and work through habitual patterns or an unexpected crisis. They learn to treat themselves with compassion rather than judgment. Released from these pressures, they enjoy the freedom of personal choice and healthy relationships.

It is my belief that in order to recover from addictive behaviors a client must feel safe, not judged, and related to in a professional and personable manner.

I work with individuals who experience anxiety or depression from relationships, family or work settings, or major life transitions. In addition, I help parents of children with special needs. Issues such as ADD, ADHD, and spectrum disorders can sometimes cause isolation, sadness and even anger. I create a safe and supportive environment in which you can talk about your situation without fear.

I will help you address those parts of yourself that get in the way. Through the healing process, you can learn to manage stress, cultivate mindfulness, and move from being stuck or overwhelmed to living a more fulfilling life.
